itinerary
We start with this tour in the morning or in the afternoon because it will take us only 6 hours including driving to the places that we will visit. Once we leave from Cusco we will drive to Moray for approximately 1 and half hours and have our tour there with our local guide. Moray is big so depending on how you are feeling we can take different ways to explore a bit more of this archaeological site, if you are tired we can just go to the view point and make the explanation from there. After seeing this first place we drive to the famous salt mines for 45 minutes more and on the way we will pass by Maras, a colonial town and where the people who are working in the salt mines live. Before getting in the salt mines we will stop in the view point and get a nice view of this area. Depending on which season of the year you came here, the pools look brown in the rainy season or white in the dry season. We walk close to the salt mines and see all the process of how the local people produce salt just with salty water that is coming naturally from the mountain. After seeing this place we go back to Cusco and we drop you off at your hotel.
